Wow - I think that's a record!

This is what the Diary of a Wimpy Kid shelf looked like at the end of the day Thursday.  By the end of the day Friday there were less books there.  That's because about 647 books circulated in just the first week of school.  Actually those were mostly checked out Thursday and Friday because very few kids came in Tuesday and Wednesday.  I had teachers and students both tell me that kids were begging to come in but those first few days are critical for establishing routines.  But boy, when they could come in they did and they checked out a lot of books.  By mid day Friday I had to tell students that if they wanted Lego, Minecraft, and Pokemon books they were gone and they should put them on hold.  So then I had to teach them how to do that :)

Anyone reading this....to put a book on hold first go to Destiny and log in.  Find the book you want and click on it (even if it says ask - that means it is in another school or in the public libraries).  If there is a button that says Hold It click on that.  Your name will be put on a waiting list.  When the book is ready for you, your teacher will get a note in his or her box.
